PTRC - Position Qualification Requirements

photo of xxxxxxx.  Under supervision of the Time Unit Leader (TIME), the Personnel Time Recorder is responsible for overseeing the recording of time for all personnel assigned to an incident.

Required Training

  • Introduction to ICS (ICS-100)
  • NIMS: An Introduction (IS-700)
  • Completion and Certification of NWCG Personnel Time Recorder (PTRC) Position Task Book (PMS 311-51) on a wildfire incident.

Required Experience

None

This section includes a slight change from the 310-1. Position Task Book completion has been moved to Required Training (above) from Required Experience.

Physical Fitness Level

None required.

Wildland Fire Module Unit

The NWCG Standards for Wildland Fire Module Operations, PMS 430 standardizes procedures and expectations for Wildland Fire Modules (WFMs). These standards are to be used by staff, supervisors, specialists, and technicians for planning, administering, and conducting WFM operations. These standards will also be used as a measure of WFM qualifications, capabilities, and expected performance, for both Type 1 and Type 2 WFMs.
