How To Burn Safely

• Keep your burn pile ??? feet from woodlands.
• Clear a ?? ft. area down to bare soil.
• Never leave your burn pile unattended.
• Make sure your fire is dead out.

Edit by typing in the specific footage your agency requires for area around the burn pile and distance from woodlands.

You may also want to add a line that says "Always with your local fire department before burning", or "Before burning, check for fire restrictions by calling...."

Buck the Habit! Burn Safely

• Burn in a solid, sturdy barrel
• Cover it with a grate
• If it is dry, hot and windy, save for another day
• Make sure to have water and a shovel handy.
• NEVER leave your fire.

You will need to replace the dog photo with one of a local arson dog, add the correct arson hotline number, and add agency logo and contact information.

If you see or learn of someone deliberately setting a wildfire, call 1-800-???-???? and note the following:

• Vehicle description and license number.
• Location or GPS coordinates.
• Description of suspect.

You will need to delete the forest name and info and replace it with your own.

• Investigations will be completed under the same guidelines as any law enforcement investigation
